Meet Bianca Andreescu
The Hawaii Open is proud to welcome reigning U.S. Open champion Bianca Andreescu!
Bianca Andreescu has had a breakout 2019 year. At only 19, Andreescu captured three titles this year at the U.S. Open, Indian Wells, and Rogers Cup, rocketing into WTA tennis-star status. In 2018, she was a finalist in Auckland and also represents Canada in the Fed Cup.
“I am truly excited to come to Hawaii this year to play the Hawaii Open. It will be my first time there, and I really look forward to discovering the wonderful island of Oahu,” said Andreescu. “The tournament will be, I’m sure, the perfect preparation for my Australian swing as I will get the chance to play some great matches against very good players in a very nice location. Can’t wait!”
