Meet Danielle Collins
The Hawaii Open is pleased to welcome back 2019 Australian Open semifinalist Danielle Collins! Collins had a career breakout in 2018, finishing her first Top 50 season when she won the 2018 Newport Beach WTA 125K and then made it to the semi-finals at Miami Open and Silicon Valley Classic. Before turning pro, Collins played for the University of Virginia winning two NCAA singles titles for the Cavaliers. Collins played the Hawaii Open WTA 125k in 2016 and 2017.
“I am so excited to return to the beautiful island of Oahu for the third time to play in this fun event!” said Collins. “The Hawaii Open is a great way to kick off my 2020 season and I can’t wait to meet all the fans!”

Started playing tennis at age three. Introduced to the sport by her dad.
