Meet Ryan Harrison

Ryan Harrison is an American professional tennis player. Harrison has won one career ATP title in singles at the 2017 Memphis Open to go along with four in doubles, including the 2017 French Open.

Ryan began playing tennis at age 2.

Father, Pat, played collegiate tennis at Oklahoma State and Mississippi before a brief pro career in Futures and Challengers. Now works at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL, USA. Mother, Susie; brother, Christian, is also on ATP World Tour; sister, Madison.

At age 11, entered Shreveport City Championships and reached final, where he lost to his dad.

In 2005, family moved to Texas and his dad became head pro at John Newcombe’s Tennis Academy in New Braunfels before moving to IMG Academy in 2008.

Grandfather, Jimmy, was running back at Louisiana Tech, earning All-American honors in 1949.

Held Ryan Harrison Invitational in November 2012 and raised money for Wounded Warrior Project.

Considers grass his favorite surface.

Big New Orleans Saints fan (NFL).

Likes country and rock music.

Wife, Lauren, played tennis at University of North Carolina and is sister of WTA pro Christina McHale (married 31 March 2017). They met at Wimbledon juniors.
